The 2-acre development will consist of three, two-story live-work buildings that will contain 19 townhome-style live-work rental units that offer 1,971 square feet of space. The ground floor will include:
- The main entry door.
- A glass sectional roll-up door.
- A half bath.
- An approximate 10-foot clear height.
- An open workspace.
The townhomes will have a standard complement of stainless steel, energy-efficient GE electric appliances, including a frost-free refrigerator with an ice maker, self-cleaning oven, built-in microwave, dishwasher, and disposal; double stainless steel sink; upgraded hardware. Bathrooms will have stone countertops; bathroom fixtures include an enameled garden tub/shower with ceramic tile enclosure, enameled sink in base cabinet, wall mirror, commode, mirrored wall vanity, and incandescent wall-mounted light fixture. Each unit will also contain a full-sized washer and dryer set.
The surrounding neighborhood consists of primarily newer vintage single-family residential, with some supportive commercial buildings. Approximately half a mile from the community, several restaurants can be found, including but not limited to Daisy Coffee, Taqueria Los Chilangos, Southside Flying Pizza, Man vs. Fries, and Valentina’s Tex Mex BBQ.
Bauerle Ranch Park is located 1 mile to the north and is utilized by residents for hiking, biking, and running. The park has an abundance of wildlife, and deer are spotted regularly. Mary Moore Searight Park is located 4 miles to the east and features six miles of trails with intermittent fitness stations and hike/bike/equestrian trails. The main trail in the park forms a large loop with smaller trails veering off in various directions. Additionally, there are several recreational areas for families, including picnic and barbecue areas, two basketball courts, an 18-hole disc golf course, a fishing pier, a soccer field, two tennis courts, two volleyball courts, and a playground. The park also contains the Ralph DeClairmont Flying Field, a private radio-controlled model aircraft flying field. However, membership is required to fly airplanes, but visitors are welcome.
