VP, Originations – Central Region
BASIC FUNCTION: The VP, Origination – Central Region is responsible for regional business development by offering short-term, first deed of trust loans secured by real estate to fund the acquisition, renovation, rehabilitation, or development of residential or commercial properties.
QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING, & WORK EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university
- Candidate must have a strong background in sales, 5+ years’ experience in real estate development or lending (residential or commercial)
- Familiar with all stages of origination through closing and all associated relationships
- Private money loan origination experience
- Knowledge of local real estate market
- Ability to interact with borrowers, contractors, builders, employees, and others encountered in the course of work
- Able to use math and apply mathematical reasoning and abstract statistical concepts
- To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of spreadsheet software and Contact Management Systems
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Leading the firm’s outreach campaign to connect with prospective clients
- Data tracking of regional outreach and origination pipeline
- Conducting preliminary underwriting and gathering the required underwriting documents leading up to deal funding
- The Candidate will work closely with the Sr. Executive Vice President and origination team
- Provides loan data to support marketing and sales promotional programs
- Performs other duties, and special projects as assigned
- In a non-Covid-19 environment, some traveling within region will be required
- Responsible for deal overseeing deal structures of LO within region and preliminary approval to LOI
- Responsible for overseeing deal through various stages of closing cycle to ensure performance
