Senior Financial Analyst

BASIC FUNCTION: The Senior Financial Analyst reports to the Director of FPA and is responsible for budgeting, forecasting, modeling, and providing in-depth analyses/presentations to support management decisions on capital/liquidity planning, execution, and management.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Planning and Forecasting:
• Own, operate, and improve the company’s three-statement model utilized for earnings projections and liquidity management
• Develop and monitor company budget, including tracking and explaining budget to actual variances
• Provide modeling to support management decisions on capital/liquidity planning and management; provide financial support for critical capital raising activities
• Provide in-depth analyses in evaluating various financing options and impacts for the company ( corporate unsecured debt, convertible debt, preferred stock, asset-level financing, M&A etc.)

Reporting and Analysis:
• Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting for senior management
• Compile monthly dividend recommendations for the Board of Directors’ review
• Prepare materials for quarterly Board of Directors and Finance Committee meetings
• Prepare ad-hoc analysis and reporting for management related to capital sourcing and M&A activities
• Lead data analytics projects to expand the utilization of the company’s construction lending data
• Participate in financial system exploration, expansion, and implementation

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance/Economics or related field.
• 5 plus years of related experience in finance or accounting, preferably for a publicly traded company
• Experience with developing financial modeling and metrics, valuation, and budgeting
• Strong analytical, communication, and computer skills: Excel, Word & PowerPoint, Power BI; database skills a plus
• Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple competing priorities while maintaining a view of the big picture
• Support team in identifying, analyzing, and implementing process improvements
• Strong work ethic and team player
• Self-starter with ability to work independently

SALARY: $90,000- $105,000
